Monogram Monday + Crack Cake

hope you all had a great weekend :)

Mine was nothing very exciting, just relaxing + simple. I enjoyed a night in Friday and watched My Week with Marilyn and loved it, dinner with friends Saturday, and a very busy mother's day in the suburbs with my boyfriend's family.

my new Bauble Bar monogrammed necklace arrived!
the blue is a fun, casual change from my usual gold go-to.
Is matching your jeans to your necklace as horrendous as matching your eye-shadow to your outfit?

Oh well.....

I made my favorite cake - Crack Cake. It is always requested because it is so delicious, and it is the easiest cake in the world to make.

Crack Cake:

1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
1/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c white sugar
1 box vanilla pudding instant mix
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 eggs
3/4 c water
3/4 c oil
1/2 c white wine (really any kind)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the above ingredients by hand or hand mixer.

Grease a bundt pan.
Pour into pan.
Bake for one hour.

When cake comes out of the oven...

Melt 1 stick butter into 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup wine.
Pour over hot cake.
Cool.
Flip out of pan onto plate and serve.

don't forget: The Bachelorette starts tonight!

happy monday!

xoxo

  3. I love that necklace! I am SO pumped for the Bachelorette tonight. I'm thinking of making a bracket for the guys. After stalking them at work today (whoops), I'm not very blown away by any of them, but I am still pumped to watch!!
